MODEL ANSWER

(What content it includes) The boom of IT has triggered a virtual competition for websites in which websites operators will have to go to great lengths to make their sites eye-catching, informative and useful. One of the best websites I’ve ever known is CNN, which is an American news-based website whose headquarter is located in Atlanta. CNN covers a wide range of topics, from politics to tourism, from the U.S.A to all 4 other continents. The information of each category is all organised efficiently, allowing readers to easily find what they are in need of.

(How and when you found it) As soon as I moved up to the intermediate level of English proficiency, the teacher ordered us to read English-written magazines or newspapers. After each week, there would be a quiz in order to test students’ knowledge about what was mentioned in the article that the teacher gave us. This developed such a habit which encouraged me read English newspapers frequently, which was an important impetus for the improvement of my language command.

(How often you visit this website) I literally visit it semi-daily or daily to keep pace with what’s happening around the world so that I am not left behind. The categories on which I am keen are tourism and politics.

(Why you think it is interesting) This website stands out as one of the best website due to several reasons. First, the content is well written by scholars who have sufficient knowledge about their fields, meaning that their content can be trustworthy. Second, for some special articles, the way of transmission of information is rather beautifully designed with colours and pictures as well as animation, which is pretty Powerpoint-like.
