Band 8 Sample Answer for IELTS Speaking Part 2

So a few months ago, I was inundated with (to give someone so much work that they cannot deal with) my university homework and I was actually frazzled (tired). Therefore, after I had got everything done, I decided to do something to indulge (to allow yourself to do something you enjoy) myself. To be more specific, I booked a trip to ABC city since I’d been told that this city was the most popular tourist attraction and I was actually looking forward to the trip.
However, as soon as I got to the hotel, I was absolutely dismayed (disappointed). I mean, the place where I was staying was in a secluded area, which was kinda far away from the city center. However, the place was packed with litters from other holidaymakers (person who is visiting a place for holiday) and the land was severely contaminated, it was utterly filthy (dirty) and squalid (dirty and unpleasant).
Not only that, other guests in the homestay was having a BBQ party and they were so uproarious (extremely noisy and loud). It was so noisy that I couldn’t hear myself think. That noise pollution really put me off and I just wanted to leave right off the bat (immediately).
And I should not forget to mention that the air was seriously polluted as well. As I was doing some sightseeing with the scooter I rented, I had breathing difficulties and my eyes were constantly streaming too. The trip really let me down and that was a horrible experience, to be honest.
I really hope the local authority will take actions to address (solve) the problems because I am sure they will obviously cast a blight on the environment (have a bad effect on sth) and it will result in our health being detrimentally (harmfully) affected. And for my personally, I probably will never travel to ABC city again, at least not until things get better there.
