Because I live in a big city, I get around by subway. I almost always use the subway, which also means walking a lot because the place where I live in is about a fifteen-minute walk to the nearest station. Recently, a good friend of mine bought an electric scooter. She had spent a lot of money, but always said it was worth it because it is the perfect way to get around my city, quickly and cheaply. So, when my friend went away for a week or vacation, she offered me her keys and told me I could use it. All I had to do was charging the scooter every third day or so.

At first, I was a little nervous because the traffic is very heavy and I always thought it was dangerous to ride a scooter. But I accepted her offer and soon I was zipping in and out of traffic, making it to work, or school, or anywhere I wanted to go, in record time. An electric scooter is an incredibly convenient thing, very easy and comfortable to operate, and while it might be dangerous when traffic is really heavy. It doesn’t go so fast that you can’t control yourself. It has a comfortable seat and is practically the same as riding a bike, except it is easier. When my friend returned, I had to give back the scooter, but now I am saving money to buy my own, because it is much more useful to me than the subway will ever be.
