IELTS Speaking Part 2 Answer by IELTS test taker
Well, I want to take part in an English drama competition in my school. In my university, an English drama competition will be held once a year. It is held on the Christmas and the students of different grades will work together and perform the drama in the biggest conference hall of the school. It is one of the most interesting events in my school since there will be a big Christmas party afterwards as soon as the drama competition is finished. As an English lover, I am eager to cooperatẹ with my friends and to show my performance to the whole school.
In order to achieve the best performance in the competition, I need to make some preparations. What I want to mention firstly is that I will invite one of my friends majored in English to help US with our English. As for an English drama competition, the perfect and standard English pronunciation will leave a deep impression to the audience and judges. In this case, I suppose that it is indispensable for me to invite an English major student to help US improve the English proficiency and fluency. Secondly, I will watch some drama videos from the Internet in order to learn about how to bring the audience into the plot. I suppose that the success of a drama largely depends on whether the audience can feel the emotion of the actor. In this case, watching the drama video will give me some inspiration about how to improve my stage
IELTS Speaking Part 3
1) There are many competition programs on TV nowadays, why?
There are actually many competitions on TV nowadays. Firstly, I think this kind of game is very interesting to watch. Under such tense environment of competition that almost no one is willing to endure, it is kind of fun to watch someone else do that. Secondly, I think this kind of TV program can also provide some knowledge, too. There are many intelligence competitions like debate or Encyclopedic Knowledge Contest and we can acquire knowledge in the process as well b” seeing how other more capable contestants respond.
2) Do you think competition is important at work places?
I think competition is very important at work place, and it can sometimes be a must if a company wants to succeed. Firstly, it provides great motivations for employees to work harder by creating a highly competitive environment where if they don’t work hard enough, they will be beat up by their colleagues. Secondly, it is also a good way for self-evaluation competing against our colleagues, we are more able to know how well we did in our work and try various ways to improve our productivity and efficiency.
3) What kinds of jobs or work should note involve competition?
I think most of the jobs need competitions, but positions that are more casual and relaxing, especially in the tertiarj industry, should involve more competitions. Jobs in some high-tech fields, such as coding and computer have already been stressful enough in nature, but jobs like clerks, receptionists, waitresses, should involve more competitions, as those job; provide service to their customers. The competitions will urge them to improve the quality of their services as those industries are so closely related to our lives.
4) What kinds of competitions are popular in your hometown?
I think the peer pressure is extremely popular nowadays, especially with the proliferation of social media. We all have WeChat moments, where people can share what they are currently doing by making posts. WeChat is extremely popular inChina. However, we are constantly comparing ourselves to them as we see so many talented people with their posts, in which process competitions arise. We are always trying to prove how great we are by making posts ourselves under the stress of peer pressure.
5) What do you think of those who lose in a competition?
I think those who lose in a competition is never a loser. I myself attended many competitions. I won some, but also lost some. And I always believe that the most important thing in a competition is never the result itself, but the courage we hold on dearly to and everything we learn in the process. After all, not everyone is brave enough to stand on the stage enduring high stress in the competition like US. As long as we had the courage to make the first step, we will never stop trying and we will always make improvements in the future.
