SAMPLE ANSWER
There are so many (=a variety of = a plenty of = a number of = a wide range of) countries that I have not had a chance (=opportunity) to go to, but one of those that I would like to visit (=pay a visit, travel to) in my upcoming (forthcoming) trip is Myanmar.
It is located (=situated) in South East Asia. The country is like Thailand 25 years ago, before shopping malls ((commercial center), and fast-food chains (a network of restaurants like McDonald’s) expanded (=spread, develop) in the country. Thus it remains rustic (simple and often rough in appearance) and traditional compared to (=contrasted to; in comparison with) the modern world.
The people here are said to be friendly (cordial, affectionate, sociable); they are willing (=ready) to go out of their way (make a special effort to do sth) to show you around (to be a guide for someone and show them what is interesting) and they are very keen on (=into doing sth; fond of sth) practicing their English skills. Myanmar is famous (=well known; renowned ) for its ancient city named Bagan, with more than 3,000 temples which date back to (=stem from) the 11th century. I would particularly(=especially) love to see the Shwedagon Pagoda. It is considered (=regard) to be the greatest and most sacred (connected with a god, and considered to be holy) Buddhist temple in the country. The entire (=whole) structure, which dates back 2,500 years, is covered with hundreds of gold plates.
Since the country has just been opened up (=reveal; expose) to the outside world, it still keeps the originality (the quality of being interesting and special and not the same as anything or anyone else) of its culture. That’s why I want to go there, to experience the country and the people before globalization ( a situation in which places become similar in all parts of the world) changes everything.
