IELTS Speaking Part 3

1) In general, how do people become famous?

Well, what I want to mention firstly is that people need to make some achievement in a certain field. Looking at those world-famous scientists and the stars, all of them have made great achievements to the human beings or thẹ entertainment industry. So, if people want to be famous, they will work hard from now on and try to change the world Secondly, I think the luck is also very necessary. Here, I would like to take the film stars for an example. There are thousands of beautiful girls and handsome boys working in the entertainment field, but only a few of them can become famous. Moreover, in most of the cases, those famous stars became popular immediately after the releasing of a new movie. So, I think the hard-working spirit and the luck are very important on the road to be famous.

2) What types of people become famous in your country?

Well, I think it depends on different fields. In the scientific and academic fields, the people who make great contribution or come up with a new discovery can become famous. These kinds of people are always hardworking and consider the academic study as their life-long pursuit. However, in the entertainment field, to some extent, the luck is very important when people want to become famous. A TV Series, a movie or even a song can make a star famous. I think the hard working and lucky people can be famous in the entertainment field.

3) What qualities do (all or most or many) famous people have in common?

Well, on the one hand, I think the famous people have stronger perseverance and determination. Here, I would like to take the scientists for an example. The scientists need to do the experiments for several hundred, or ever several thousand times before coming up with the conclusion. Moreover, they need to try it again if the experiment failed. So, when comparing with ordinary people, I think famous people are more determined and patient. On the other hand, I think the famous people are more efficient than the ordinary people. For most of the famous people, they always have a busy schedule, and they also need to take care of their families, but most of them can arrange their time well. So, I think they are more efficient than the ordinary people.

4)    Do you think people are famous as a result of some real talent or are they famous for some other reasons?

Well, I think people are famous as a result of some real talents. I think the reason why people are famous is that they can do something that cannot be achieved by common people. For example, the reason why the pop stars are famous is that their singing talent is better than common people; the reason why scientists are famous is that they can make a great contribution to country. So, I suppose that the real talents make people become famous.

5)    What are the good points about being famous?

Well, I think there are many good points of becoming famous. What I want to mention firstly is that being famous mean; earning more money. Here, I would like to take the pop stars in the entertainment circle for an example. For some famous singers, they have many fans and many enterprise owners will invite them to make advertisements for their brands. In this case, they can earn more money than US common people. Secondly, being famous means that we can meet moresuccessful people, when somebody becomes famous, he will have a chance to communicate with those people who have; higher social status, so, being famous can also help people broaden the social circle.
