Well, the person I want to talk about today is my grandfather. My grandfather is 76 years old now, but he looks very young. He is very tall and thin, and his hair is grey. My grandfather is very outgoing and he is very optimistic to the life, so you will always feel very energetic and happy when talking with him. I have to say that my grandfather is a very talkative man, and he can always find many common topics when talking with different age groups.

As far as I know, my grandfather likes taking about two topics with other people. The first one is the traveling. Since he has already retired, he always travels to different places around the world during the free time. After coming back from the trip, he will always talk about what he has seen and done in different places with his friends and families. The second topic is the history. My grandfather joined in the Army when he was seventeen, and had attended the war of liberation. So, when he talks with the younger generation, he likes telling them about the national condition of that time and describing the cruelty and the bloodiness of the war. After talking with my grandfather, I always feel that I can learn a lot. I can not only know about different cultures and customs in various cities; around the world, but also learn about the hard efforts that people have made in order to achieve the national independence. So, I feel that it is very meaningful to talk with my grandfather.

1) What communication skills are important?

Well, I think many communication skills are important. What I want to mention firstly is that people need to find the common topics. When you want to talk with a stranger, you need to start from the daily life and find out some common topics. Otherwise, both of you will feel embarrassed. Secondly, I think that people need to show respect with each other ^–during the communication. For example, we need to look at people in the eye, and keep the right social distance while we are talking with others. So, I think that having common topics and keeping good manners are important communicating skills.

2) Are you talkative?

Well, I think that I am talkative. What I want to mention firstly is that being talkative can let me make more friends. As for me, I can always find out some common topics when talking with people of different personalities. So, I think being talkative can let me make friends with people of different characteristics and from different social backgrounds. Secondly, I think being talkative can also help many people. For example, when my friends are facing the failure, I will always tell them that it is not a big deal to face the difficulties and I will also encourage them to face the challenges with confidence. So, I am very talkative and I believe that it is good to be talkative.

3) Are most Chinese people talkative?

Well, I think it depends. As for most of the young people and middle-aged women, they are very talkative. The young people like communicating with their friends about the latest fashion and some pop stars during the free time. The middle-aged women like talking about their families and daily lives with each other during the spare time. However, as for most of the men, they are not very talkative. I feel that most of the men prefer to stay at home and watch TV quietly after work, instead of talking with their families for several hours. In this case, I think most of the young people and the middle-aged women in my country are very talkative.

4) What jobs need employees to be talkative?

Well, I think many jobs need employees to be talkative. What I want to mention firstly is the salesperson. In general, the responsibility of a salesperson is to persuade the customers to buy the products. In this case, a talkative salesperson has a higher successful rate of making a deal with the customers. Secondly, I think the teachers are also very talkative. The teacher needs to talk loudly in front of the class, and after the class, the teachers also need to talk with the students in order to find out whether all the students have grasped the key points of the course. 5) Should children be encouraged to talk more?

Well, I think the children should be encouraged to talk more. What I want to mention firstly is that it can improve the students’ confidence. I think most of the students in my country are kind of shy and they are not willing to talk in front of the class. If we can encourage them to be more talkative, the students will not feel nervous easily and it is beneficial to improve their confidence. Secondly, encouraging the students to talk more is beneficial to the children’s growth. Currently, the competition in the job market is becoming fiercer, in which case, the students have to know about how to communicate with their colleagues, leaders, and customers. In this case, if the students can be more talkative, they may feel it easier to integrate into the competitive society in the future. In this case, I feel that the children should be encouraged to talk more.

31. Describe a time that you wore a type of clothes for a special occasion.

The particular kind of cloths that I wear for a special occasion is a black robe. Dating back to my college time, there was f cosplay competition in our campus and our class joined as a vampire group.

Therefore, we ordered a few black robes foe vampires online and I was one of the cosplay team members. It is really convenient that we have got TAOBAO, and e-shopping platform so that we can nearly order anything we want from it and it only took a short period of time for US to receive those black robes. We were so excited upon receiving them and could not wait to put the black robe on as it was really cool to be dressed like a vampire. After changing the clothes, we really looked like a group of vampires walking through the campus, in terms of how other people thought of US on that occasion the only thing that I can recall is their amazed facial expression probably because they nearly regarded US as realvampires They all commented that the idea to cosplay as vampires and dressing black robes were very creative.

Even after the cosplay competition event, some of the other people also imitated US and ordered the black robe to put on as they also wanted to experience dressing like a vampire. Looking back, it was really an unforgettable memory.

1)    Does personality affect how people choose what to wear?

Well, I think so. As for the active people, they will always choose to wear some bright-colored clothes, since they feel that: the bright color can show their passions and may easily attract other people’s eyes. Moreover, the active people also like wearing some fashionable clothes, since they think this style may let them look unique. However, as for the shy people, they always like to wear the clothes colored in blue, black or grey, since they do not want to be the center in the crowd and the dark color can show that they are low – key. Moreover, those people prefer to wear some clothes, like the suit, the common jacket. In this case, I suppose that the personality can easily affect how people choose what to wear.

2)    When should people wear formal clothes?

Well, I think people will choose to wear formal clothes in some formal situations. For example, I will always choose to wear the suit while attending my friends’ weddings. I think that the wedding is one of the most important moments in my friends’ lives, so, wearing the formal clothes means that I attach importance to my friend’s wedding and it is also a way to show respect. Furthermore, people will also choose to wear formal clothes when attending a job Interview, since it can make people look more confident and professional and people may even have a higher rate of success.

3) Do people wear formal clothes more often than before?

Yes, I think so. What I want to mention firstly that wearing the formal clothes can make people look more professional Here, I would like to take myself as an example. Currently, I am working as an intern in a foreign company. Although I am only a student, I will always choose to wear a suit to work since I think I will be more confident and professional on a suit Secondly, wearing formal clothes is a way to show respect. For example, when discussing business, a manger on ÍI professional suit will have a higher success rate than a manager on the casual clothes, since wearing a suit symbolizes thẹ manager attaches importance to the business. In this case, I think wearing formal clothes may let people look confident and professional, and it is also a good way to show respect to the business partners. 4) What clothes do university students wear for their graduation ceremonies?

Well, I think it depends. As for the boys, they will choose to wear the black suit or the swallow-tailed coat. Since the graduation ceremony is a serious circumstance, the students should not wear the casual clothes, like the blouse, the jacket, and so on. In this case, wearing the suit is the best way for the boys to show a serious attitude towards the ceremony. However, as for the girls, they will have more choices. Some of them may choose to wear the suit dress since they want to look more formal on the ceremony; others may choose to wear the evening dress since they want to look elegant and attract other people’s eyes on the ceremony.

5) Where can you buy formal clothes in your country?

Well, there are many places for you to buy formal clothes. What I want to mention firstly is the shopping mall. Here, I would like to take the suit for an example. To be honest, a perfectly tailored business suit is not very cheap. In order to buy the suit with the best quality, many people may choose to go to the big shopping mall and buy the suit of the famous brand. Secondly, for some students, they may choose to buy the formal clothes on the Internet. Honestly speaking, thẹ formal clothes in the shopping mall is always very expensive and it is unaffordable for some common students, in this case many students may choose to buy the formal clothes on the Internet first, and when they become ricer, they will buy the formal clothes in the shopping mall.
