Dressing up in costumes is one of the most popular Halloween customs, especially among youngsters. People would like to dress up in costumes, like wearing special clothes, which is said to frighten the spirits away. So today, I’m going to ta about a piece of clothes given by my American friend Max.

I got that special piece of clothes at a Halloween party a few years ago. Actually it was my first time to take part in the Halloween party, so I didn’t know what I should bring for the party. When I arrived at the party, I was so surprised to see lot of strange Halloween clothes, including costumes of vampires (creatures that drink blood), ghosts (spirits of the dead) and werewolves (people that turn into wolves when the moon is full). It seemed that I was one of the few people who hadn’t brought the Halloween costume, which made me a little bit of embarrassed.

‘Hey, Peter! Look what I have prepared for you’, I heard Max was calling me from behind and turned around to find that he was holding a Halloween costume for me.

Wow, it looks really different from the normal clothes. It was actually an inflatable monster costume mainly made of ragged clothes. However, with some built-in little bulbs to create the colorful light, it looked really dazzling and awesome on that night.

Speaking of my feeling about the clothes, I would say I was totally shocked at the first sight, because I had never worn a kind of clothes like this. But now, it is a little old and needs a new paint job, still I want to keep it, which always brings me the good memory and happy time
