BAND 8 MODEL ANSWER

A public figure (famous person) I admire is a member of a music band called Maroon 5, Adam Levine. He was born and grew up in America. He not only is the lead vocalist and also plays the guitar and composes a tones of songs for the band. There is no doubt that he is one of the most famous and talented singers since the day he embarked on (to start an activity) his career.

I happened to catch a glimpse of (see something for a brief time) him on a TV show when his band were promoting a singing competition called The Voice on NBC channel. I totally fell in love with his voice and  his sense of humor, so I searched high and low (to search for something thoroughly) about this guy and watched all performances of the band and TV shows he showed up (appear). And I realize he is an absolutely amazing artist. I really adore the way he puts his heart and soul into (do it with a great deal of enthusiasm and energy) his songs and  performances.
Although he came up against (be faced with) a hard time when he started his career, he didn’t give up and chased after his passion.  Therefore I am so proud of my idol and his achievements are well deserved.

As I mentioned above, I am  a crazy fan of him. Whenever I feel down in the dumps (unhappy), I turn on his songs like Maps, Payphone, Sugar, Lost Stars to unwind (relax) and recharge my energy. I really long for (to have a strong desire to do sth) a chance to meet him once in real life, not just through the computer screen.

A wide range! Nowadays R&B music is all the rage (popular). Besides, hiphop, pop music, and country music are genres of music that people can easily find on the radio and TV. But for my parents’ generations, they still sticks to their southern rock style of music which is more familiar to them since they were young.

What are the benefits of singing?  Do people learn to sing nowadays? 

People can gain a wide range of benefits when we sing, no matter how well we can sing. Singing can help us energize our body and mind. It also help soften brain muscles, which is an effective stress buster. Another benefit of singing is that when we memorize the lyrics and melodies of the songs, you can strengthen our memory.
